How to Use NocoSpray and Effectively Disinfect Your Laboratory

Hospitals and other healthcare settings, such as laboratories, are susceptible to infection with a variety of organisms that can cause major health concerns. To prevent the spread of infection, it is essential to use effective infection control measures. One such measure is the use of NocoSpray—a powerful dry disinfectant spray that emits a vapour that kills a wide range of pathogens, and is one of the most powerful air and surface disinfectants for laboratories currently available.

What is NocoSpray?

NocoSpray’s dry disinfectant spray provides an affordable and effective way to protect healthcare facilities and laboratories from infections that can be transmitted via air or on surfaces. A hospital-grade disinfectant, NocoSpray kills 99.9% of harmful pathogens on contact and leaves behind no moisture. It is ideal for use in places where dampness can lead to mildew and mould growth, as well as being safe for use in rooms with electrical and sensitive electronic equipment.

How Does NocoSpray Work?

It is a patented portable disinfection system that consists of two components—the NocoSpray appliance and the NocoLyse disinfectant solution. The machine heats the NocoLyse solution to form a vapour that is dispersed throughout the room, disinfecting all surfaces, as well as the air to create a germ-free environment.

The NocoLyse solution contains 6% H2O2, distilled water and 30 ppm of silver. It has been extensively tested and:

  • Is highly effective on 99.99% bacteria, mycobacteria, fungus, yeasts, spores and viruses by causing them to self-destruct
  • TGA approved for being effective against Covid19
  • Destroys micro-organisms so they cannot develop resistance to NocoTech
  • Can be used safely in laboratories with sensitive equipment as it is non-corrosive
  • Biodegrades in minutes leaving behind no residue

How to Use NocoSpray in Hospitals and Laboratories

Hospitals and laboratories often face challenges with bacterial and other infectious contamination. NocoSpray is a safe and effective disinfectant that can help solve these problems. The appliance is easy to handle and can be used by anyone.

NocoSpray can only be operated when no one is present in the room. To disinfect a room, make sure all surfaces are clear, removing papers and other debris that can harbour germs. Plug in the NocoSpray containing the NocoLyse disinfectant solution and place in the centre of the room. Set the required cycle, switch it on and leave the room, closing the door behind you. In as little as 30 minutes the room is disinfected, and the room can be re-entered.

A NocoSpray appliance can disinfect rooms up to 1000m3. Several can be used simultaneously to sanitise larger rooms while for areas up to 20,000m3, the NocoMax offers another option. Check out the video here of NocoSpray being used inside an ambulance.

Why is NocoSpray Effective for Disinfecting a Laboratory?

NocoSpray Technology, free of harmful chemicals, delivers microfine NocoLyse hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) ions into the air and on surfaces. It causes a chemical reaction on contact with harmful micro-organisms that destroys 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, fungus, moulds and yeasts. It is thorough with the vapour able to access hard to access nooks and crannies that would be more difficult to reach with other disinfectant products.

The NocoSpray mixture is so potent that it not only affects bacteria but destroys them entirely. It is completely safe and non-toxic to humans leaving no residue on surfaces that requires the additional effort of wiping down once the NocoSpray cycle has finished.

NocoSpray is capable of shutting down outbreaks of airborne transmittable organisms, creating a safer working environment and reducing the spread of harmful pathogens, particularly antibiotic-resistant superbugs, that can be particularly troublesome in hospitals, including

  • Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
  • Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE)
  • Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL)
  • Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE)

The NocoTech system offers automatic quick and effective disinfection of enclosed spaces. The machine is left to do the job while members of staff can be getting on with other matters.

NocoSpray—A Versatile Solution

The disinfectant NocoLyse also destroys unpleasant odours and leaves areas smelling pleasant with a fresh, mint fragrance.  Also available is NocoLyse One Shot – a stronger disinfectant that is particularly useful for preventive measures, containing 12% hydrogen peroxide; and NocoLyse Food with 7.9% hydrogen peroxide to treat rooms that are in contact with food.

NocoTech – Effective Air and Surface Disinfectants for Laboratories

NocoSpray is a powerful infection control measure that is effective against a wide range of infectious diseases. A major infection control problem in hospitals and laboratories is cross-contamination—and NocoSpray’s dry disinfectant vapour is a valuable tool for combatting this.
