What makes NocoSpray the preferred disinfectant for Vet Hospitals and Vet Clinics?

Daily contact between people and animals allows the opportunity of infectious disease to be transmitted between species from animals to humans (or from humans to animals). This is why vet hospital infection control measures are particularly stringent and follow strict industry guidelines. If you’re working in a veterinary clinic, you’ll know that keeping the premises hygienic is essential for preventing the transmission of infection—and the NocoSpray’s highly effective disinfectant system can help leading veterinary clinics to do just that.

What is NocoSpray?

NocoSpray is a unique, patented and game-changing technology that delivers a vapourised disinfectant solution into the atmosphere. This effectively disinfects the air and all the surfaces within a room, killing bacteria, viruses, mycobacteria, mould, fungi, spores, yeasts and more! The NocoSpray solution provides comprehensive air disinfection using ingredients that are safe to humans and animals with no harmful chemicals.

The NocoSpray system consists of a machine that diffuses the NocoLyse disinfectant liquid containing 6% of H2O2 and 30 ppm of silver in distilled water into a dry vapour. Benefits include:

  • Kills 99% of bacteria, mycobacteria, fungus, yeasts, spores and viruses, including Covid-19
  • Germs cannot develop a resistance to it
  • Non-corrosive and is used in operating theatres, laboratories and imaging centres.
  • Non-allergenic
  • H2O2 is biodegraded completely, breaking down into particles of water and oxygen. This makes it the most environmentally possible way to be rid of dangerous pathogens, without harming the air, water or other environmental factors
  • Non-carcinogenic

NocoSpray is non-toxic and safe to use on any surface, including floors, counters, and walls. It has proven itself as a commercial disinfectant in offices, hospitals, veterinary practices and businesses of all sizes throughout the world. The NocoSpray system is capable of disinfecting rooms up to 1000m3, although several machines can be used simultaneously to disinfect larger spaces. For bigger areas, the NocoMax is effective up to 20,000m3. Check the AMR Guidelines here for Veterinary Practises.

How safe is NocoSpray?

NocoSpray is an EPA-registered disinfectant system that kills 99.9% of all germs. Rooms are ready for re-occupancy again by animals and humans once the disinfection cycle has finished.

The NocoSpray machine is placed in the centre of a room. Set the programme and leave the room. The cycle begins 15 seconds after you’ve initiated the programme, so you can turn your attention to something else while the vapour diffused by the NocoSpray is disinfecting the air and all the surfaces in the room. It is particularly beneficial at getting into hard-to-reach and difficult-to-clean places, including animal cages and open drawers/cupboards.

Once the cycle is finished, surfaces do not need to be wiped down as NocoSpray leaves behind no residue or wetness, is non-corrosive and will not damage anything in the room, including electrical equipment, such as computers.

Why Use NocoSpray in Veterinary Practice?

The highest priority of any vet clinic or animal hospital is high sanitation levels. Your clients come to you for wellness, not to pick up a new disease. NocoSpray It is very effective against animal bacteria and viruses, including Parvovirus—a virulent and highly contagious virus that induces severe diarrhea and vomiting in dogs, which can lead to dehydration. NocoSpray is easily incorporated into your routine hygiene protocols and is a practical tool in the fight against contagious infections in your practice.

Animal Cages

Attaining good sanitation and stopping the spread of infection starts in the areas that your patients may spend the most time— their animal enclosures. Properly cleaning a cage takes between 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the size and the type of cleaner being used. If staff members are cleaning the kennels in record time, they may be well-meaning and trying to work efficiently, but they may unwittingly not be as thorough as they should. NocoSpray can disinfect all the cages in a room simultaneously–saving your staff time and ensuring a thorough job.

Theatres/Exam Rooms

Areas where there is high patient contact, such as exam rooms can benefit from regular cleaning with NocoSpray. Similarly, NocoSpray is highly effective for removing microorganisms from areas where animals are treated, such as surgical theatres.

Prior to using NocoSpray, all visible debris should be removed to ensure surfaces are exposed to the disinfectant vapour, and any organic materials, including faeces, urine, blood and dirt must be cleaned up before the NocoSpray system is activated to run your chosen cycle.
